Malaysian Noodle Soup: Sarawak Laksa

Laksa is a noodle soup dish that is very popular in Singapore and Malaysia. There are so many versions of Laksa dishes (or noodle soup dishes). The differences are from the ingredients in the paste and noodle dish components. If you have tried Singapore laksa before, you will love another version of Laksa from Malaysia. We will start with making laksa paste from scratch and then turn the paste to Sarawak Laksa. Sarawak Laksa contains sesame and peanut in the paste that will give creamy and nutty flavor. You can choose to make laksa with just chicken or just shrimps or just tofu or the combination of all three types of protein. If you want to make vegan laksa, you’ll just skip the egg. Nothing can beat homemade laksa!

This dish can be made vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten free.
