Mooncake Festival is one of the big festivals of Chinese traditions. It is also called “Mid-Autumn Festival. Mooncake pastries are the traditional food that is served during the Mooncake festival. There are many types of mooncakes. But, in this online interactive class, we’ll be making snow skin mooncakes with 2 different types of homemade fillings: coconut custard fillings and sweet potato fillings. We’ll follow the steps below:
– We will make custard fillings and set aside.
– We will make sweet potato fillings and set aside.
– We will make snow skins with different colors.
– We will assemble and shape the mooncakes.
You are welcome to use any types of fillings. You can also buy pre-made fillings or paste as well but we will make these 2 types of fillings in this class. They are gluten free and vegan.
Class schedule: Saturday, September 10 from 2-3:30pm Eastern Time Zone. Please check the time on the Eventbrite as the Eventbrite time shows your actual local time zone. This class will be online via Zoom. The class will not be recorded. The price is per screen.
You will receive the ingredient list 14 days before the class starts. We will send out the complete recipe packet along with the Zoom link 6 days before the class starts. No refunds will be given after the complete recipe packet is sent out.
