Thai Street Food – Pineapple Fried Rice and Som Tum (with Vegan Options)

Thai cuisine is full of aromatic ingredients, cooking styles, and dish decorations. In this online interactive class, we’ll make 2 authentic Thai street dishes: Thai pineapple fried rice and Som Tum corn. Join Ploy, a native Thai who will teach you the skills and authentic recipes to recreate your Thai dishes at home. You’ll also learn about where to shop locally for the freshest ingredients.

In about 1 hour, we’ll make these 2 popular Thai street food dishes:

Kao Pad Sub-Pa-Rod (Thai pineapple fried rice) – This dish could be made with shrimp and ham. You can use any protein you’d like including chicken breast, pork, or even just vegetarian or vegan. We’ll learn how to cut a fresh pineapple into a bowl and do a quick stir fried for this delicious dish.

Som Tum Kao Pode (Thai corn salad) – If you know Thai papaya salad, this dish is another version of Thai papaya salad. Instead of using raw papaya, we will use corn and green apple to make this Thai popular street food.

Both dishes can be vegan and can be gluten free using tamari instead of regular light soy sauce.
